Ray Darby FCA Managing Partner
Ray was born in Bolton and educated at Bolton School. He joined Bentleys in 1978 after a period as a company accountant for a large local business and was made a partner in that year. He became Managing Partner in 2007.
John Shaw BA (Hons) FCA DChA Partner
John graduated from Nottingham University with an Honours Degree in Industrial Economics and Accountancy. He then trained and qualified with Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) before joining Bentleys in 1980.
John is Bentleys' specialist charities partner and recently passed the new ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting. He joins a select group of just 509 accountants in the whole of the country who have achieved this prestigious award on the basis of experience.
Jonathan Hargraves BA (Hons) FCA Partner
Jonathan trained with Touche Ross and joined Bentleys after qualifying in 1991. He became a partner in 1996.
Jonathan has a special interest in audit regulation and compliance.
Mike Turner FCCA ACA Partner
Mike joined Bentleys in 1994 and became a partner in 2005.
He has over twenty years experience working with owner managed SME businesses in the Manchester area.
Keith Acton FCA Consultant
Keith joined Bentleys in 1974 and in 1975 he became a partner in the firm. He was Bentleys' Senior Partner for many years until April 2009 when he took on a new role as a Consultant at the firm.
Keith is an experienced and highly regarded Chartered Accountant. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and has been a member of the Society for over thirty years. He is also a former President of Bolton Society of Chartered Accountants.
